ICR and WMF Coordinate Site Management Workshop for an Angkor Temple

July 7, 2011

Since 2003, ICR has been a consultant to the World Monuments Fund working within the Angkor Archeological Park, in Cambodia. Today Glenn Boornazian is directing the project for WMF, which includes projects at four major temple sites. The current work at Phnom Bakheng is the largest of our projects and is also supported by the United States State Department.

Now that the conservation of the Central Main Temple at Phnom Bakheng is well under way we have begun to turn our attention to the development of a conservation site management plan. The first of what will be many workshops was just held in New York City with our Cambodian partners at the APSARA Authority. ICR is honored to be a part of this exciting plan for the future of this important site. Stay tuned for more information.
