ICR and ICC draw on the many talents and expertise of a full staff of conservators,
materials scientists, craftspeople, project managers, and administrative
personnel.
Glenn Boornazian – President,
ICR and ICC
Glenn Boornazian brings credentials, experience, and vision to the
architectural conservation field. In 1988, recognizing that the market
for historic preservation services was highly fragmented, Glenn started
what would become Integrated Conservation Resources, Inc. (ICR) and Integrated
Conservation Contracting, Inc, (ICC) in order to integrate investigative
architectural conservation services with high-quality conservation and
restoration contracting. Today, as President of ICR and ICC, Glenn draws
on his extensive knowledge of building materials conservation to provide
conservation services for historic buildings and monuments. His expertise
includes specialized conditions investigation, materials testing, analysis
and assessment, and the implementation of treatment recommendations. After
studying at Columbia University's Graduate Program in Historic Preservation,
Glenn served as Staff Conservator for the Center for Preservation Research
at Columbia University, and Director of Restoration for the Nantucket
(Massachusetts) Historical Association. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor
at Columbia University's Graduate Program in Historic Preservation and
speaks widely on historic preservation.
Norman R. Weiss – Senior Scientist,
ICR and ICC
As Senior Scientist, Norman Weiss draws on more than thirty years
of practical experience in architectural conservation to provide technical
support to our consulting and contracting personnel. Trained as an analytical
chemist at New York University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology,
Weiss is a pioneering specialist in the analysis and preservation of traditional
building materials. Weiss is a life member of the Association for Preservation
Technology (and recipient of that organization's Harley J. McKee Award).
He has taught at Columbia University since 1977 and frequently lectures
for the Campbell Center, RESTORE, the National Park Service, and for preservation
organizations worldwide. He has served as Visiting Conservation Scholar,
J. Paul Getty Museum; Visiting Conservation Scientist, Conservation Center/IFA,
New York University; Visiting Professor, University of Southern California;
and was the conservation specialist on the Architect's Advisory Group
for the U.S. Capitol.
Joe Cardoso – Project Manager,
ICC
As both Project Manager and restoration craftsman, Joe Cardoso has dedicated
his career to the art and business of fine workmanship. Prior to joining
ICC, he owned a successful contracting company for more than twenty years.
As ICC Project Manager, Joe is responsible for the process and results
of our restoration/ conservation contracting projects. In this capacity,
he draws on his considerable technical expertise as well as his strong
construction and project management skills.
Themis Rodrigues – Assistant
Project Manager, ICC
Themis is an Architect who graduated from Santa Ursala University in Rio
de Janeiro, Brazil. After graduation, Themis worked as a design architect
for a large construction company and then as a project manager and cost
estimator for an engineering firm. Themis has been with ICC since 2000
and today is the Assistant Project Manager providing project coordination,
quality control and day-to-day project management services.
David Flory –
Conservation Architect, ICR
David brings to ICR the skills of a design and preservation architect
with experience in analytical chemistry and conservation. His early educational
and professional pursuits in the field of chemistry paired with a lifelong
interest in the arts developed into his passion and present position as
a conservation architect. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture, cum laude,
and worked for seven years on new construction and landscape architecture
projects before continuing on to earn a Master of Science in Architectural Studies in Historic Preservation with highest honors from the University of Texas
at Austin. Since that time, he has worked on various project types from
high end commercial, to adaptive reuse, to preservation. In recent years,
he has served as project architect/team member for the Edison National
Historic Site, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the U.S. Capitol

from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining ICR, she worked
at the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument as part of a UPenn winter program
with the National Park Service. Tina is multilingual having studied in
Asia and western Europe. She has published the work from her master's
