Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (The Angelicum)

It has been a great privilege for ICR to be working as Owner Representative directly for the Rector of the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas, known as the Angelicum, in Rome, Italy. The property was given to Dominican Nuns by Pope Leo X in the 16th Century.  For the past three years ICR has been developing and overseeing the multiyear restoration of all the Angelicum’s buildings, including the Cloister, completed in 1575, the Library completed in 1932 , and the Convitto di San Tommaso, consisting of an older building from the 16th Century and a new building completed in 1963 by Architect Lucio Passarelli.  The Angelicum, located in the very heart of Rome, sits adjacent to Trajan’s Market and looks over the Imperial Forum. All the buildings and gardens on the site are national landmarks.  To insure the preservation of the Angelicum’s mission, history, and buildings, ICR has assembled a Rome-based, highly dedicated professional team of architects, engineers, archeologists, conservators, agronomists, and geologists, including Studio Einaudi, Studio Beta, ACTA Srl; Tuccio Sante Guido; Franco Milito and Alessandra Vinciguerra, to name a few as well as preservation contractors Saiva sr.l and Fratelli Sebastiani.
